Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh is situated in the middle of Doab – the land between the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, at a distance of 130 km Southeast of Delhi on the Delhi-Howrah rail route and the Grand Trunk Road.The climate is hot and dry in summer and cold and dry in winter with an intervening rainy season. The University campus is 2 kms away from the Aligarh Railway Station.Aligarh falls on the Amritsar- Howrah main line.
From the south and west, it is approached via Agra and Delhi. A number of trains operate on this route. The weather is pleasant and cool in February. Please do not forget to get return reservation if you happen to come from a distant place. Inform us of your arrival time well in advance. Our volunteers will receive you at the station and accompany you to the reception booth where transport facility will be available to carry you to your respective destinations. We shall be in a better position to make your stay comfortable if you send us the number of participants in the debate and the language they intend to speak in.
